Grandpa Lampshade's Thoughts of the Day returns once more for another instalment of the much beloved Frogcast.
We open this week by discussing the GAB situation and the current state of freedom of speech in general. One needs to understand that GAB is not and has never been some sort of sacred stand on principle, it's always just been a business venture. Now there is nothing wrong with that and it's a business venture that has been of great benefit to us, in that it has allowed us to have a platform from which to expose people to our message. After the recent shutdown Torba is walking a thin line in trying to avoid further shut downs, while trying to maintain the niche in the market that he has attempted to carve out for himself. Will he be successful in walking that line? I'm skeptical and we'll discuss as to why that is right here.
Listener questions/comments come to us this week from Charles who has heard me talk about how things are going to collapse. Charles would like to know exactly what the plan is. Sadly, there isn't much of one. While this may not be really encouraging, I do at least strive to be as honest with all of you as I possibly can. I simply see things for the way they are and from there I pretty much attempt to figure what happens next. While it's impossible for me and I believe anyone else for that matter to actually know how this all shakes out, we are able to at least plan for what we can do. In this there is a plan and we will discuss it here.
In our Church of the Lampshade segment this week, we once again tackle the whole "chosen people" thing. These topics can become redundant at times in that it seems like we address them over and over again but the fact is that this whole "chosen" thing is a real stumbling block for many Christians.
This week the Reverend Lampshade is going to try to illustrate the lie of the Jews holding a special position as "chosen" by looking at the story of Jacob and Esau from an entirely different perspective. This is going to be a tough sermon and I hope that at the end of the day God will open your heart to understand the illustration that I am trying to make with it.
