Sven Longshanks and Dr Matthew Raphael Johnson discuss Trump’s recent successes and failures, including the removal of US troops from Syria, but the failure to build his wall.
President Trump has not been doing too well lately, most ethno-nationalists have become disillusioned with him after seeing him continually cave-in under pressure. His most recent failures have included a bump stock ban which sets a precedent for further bans on weapons, a prison reform bill that will release many hardened criminals who pled guilty to lesser charges and his inability to get the required funds from congress for the wall.
However we have been in this situation before where he does stupid things like bomb Syria or change the American embassy to Jerusalem, but then he tells the world he is a Nationalist and refuses to pretend that the violence at domestic protests comes only from the Right. He also calls out the press for being such liars and even strips them of their Whitehouse privileges.
Now he has taken another positive action in announcing that America will be moving out of Syria over the next 60 to 100 days. This is in keeping with the promises he made on his campaign trail and when he had spoken about needing to be in Syria only to defeat ISIS.
The hawks and the mainstream media have gone wild about this latest announcement and it’s great to see them so wound up, but will this move really make that much difference? After all, there will still be thousands of troops in Iraq.
