Sven Longshanks and Dr Matthew Raphael Johnson look at the tension between Trump and the Deep State, who both contradict each other on many subjects.
US intelligence chiefs have just testified before the Senate about the threats that America is facing and they directly contradicted Trump on both North Korea and Iran. This is unheard of in politics, for a world leader to be saying the opposite of his country’s secret police, but a non-career politician being voted into power is just as unheard of.
America’s intelligence community are all colluding together against him, the Russiagate investigation was started without any proof whatsoever and still has yet to find any and Trump is right to distrust their competency, especially when you consider the whole CIA communications network was compromised last year by both Iran and China simply by using Google search terms.
The Deep State is made up of all the intelligence operatives that stay in place regardless of who is President and they are the ones responsible for the continuance of the Liberal progressive polices. They rely upon the President believing what they tell them and are thus able to manipulate the direction of the State. But Trump is refusing to play ball with them and is openly defying them by pulling out of Syria, making deals with North Korea and by pulling out of the Iran deal.
They are un-elected and most of the time cannot be held to account, so it is a joy to see them finally be put in their place by him, even if he is wrong about Iran.
