This is the third instalment of the all new Church of the Lampshade and some of you may not have believed me when I said that this show was going to get better and better. Well let me tell you, if you've been with us since the beginning this third instalment will convince you without a doubt that it is growing and getting stronger.
As always, we start with a visit before service begins. I remember back in the day, people would arrive early to church so that they could hang out and visit with their friends and neighbors. Well, it's no different here at our internet church. We get here early and visit about things that we're thinking about this week. A large part of that discussion this week centers around the huge amount of lies that we are required to go along with in this world in order to try to maintain a status as "good thinkers".
As we make our way into church and find our favorite spot in the pews, we get ready to receive a heaped helping of God's word as our topic for this week is "The chosen people of God". While there are those who have tried to unilaterally apply this position to themselves when they are the total opposite of being children of God, we're going to get to the meat of the topic of what it means to be in the category of being God's chosen people. By extension we will also discuss the different categories of those who are NOT God's chosen people. These topics have become a huge stumbling block for many modern Christians, especially in light of the modern cuck church which worships the judeo-christ leading people further from the truth and not closer to the truth.
Whether it be in the area of our initial discussion or in this week's sermon it remains my hope that you will continue to reflect and pray on these topics. Our goal here is for these discussions to be a starting point for broadening your horizons, both in your world view and in your faith. With each new instalment of this show I'm gaining more and more faith that what we are doing here is much larger than ourselves and is really becoming something much much larger. I hope you will enjoy and grow and think about these things. Likewise, I hope that this prompts you to return next week for our fourth instalment of Grandpa Lampshade's Church of the Lampshade.
