Germany was forced to remove art treasures and other culturally significant artefacts to safety during the war, as otherwise they would have been destroyed through allied bombing.
The real looting was carried out by the allies, who stole everything the Goering family owned after the fighting had finished.
Edda was looked after by her mother and wasn’t treated too badly after the government fell, spending her life around NS thinkers and sympathisers.
