Carolyn Yeager talks to Sven Longshanks about the sneaky ways populism is slandered and attacked by those in the mainstream media and in government.
The AFD have had 43 candidates disqualified in the Saxony election where they were predicted to win because of ‘invalid selection procedure’ when the real reason is ‘fear of populism’.
Timothy Snyder was asked to define populism and rather than saying it seeks to remove the false elites by using the popular power of the people, he instead projected what the Left do onto populism.
He claims we don’t base our views on facts, that we get funding from oligarchs and that we have no care for the future, only for the now.
He suggests ways to fight us by extra funding for the mainstream media and manipulating algorithms, apparently unaware that algorithms are actually what was keeping the internet democratic.
