Carolyn Yeager talks to Sven Longshanks about the recent elections in Saxony and Brandenberg where the AFD closed the winning gap down to just a few points.
In both regions the AFD succeeded in getting twice as much as their nearest competitor, but just missed getting the most votes by a few points.
This means the CDU and the SPD will now have problems forming a ruling coalition as it will have to include 3 parties or more.
The ruling coalition refuses to work with the AFD, despite them now representing a quarter of the population.
