Halindir is back in the studio after his guest slot on the podcast and begins with an otherworldly piece that conjures up images of floating around outside the body.
Regular visitor Holon picks up the pace with menacing bass growls and synth squelches, while Revolt has a tribute to the heroes of Charlottesville, featuring an Amalec like melody with ‘Hail Victory comrades’ samples.
Wolfgaze have a laid back retro-vibe about them utilising eighties keyboard sounds, which blend smoothly with Mojave’s bouncy bassline and syncopated rhythms.
Alkonost start the metal section in style with soaring female voices and finger tapping harmonics, to get you warmed up for the speed metal and shouted vocals of Iberian Wolves who finish with a tribute to Iron Maiden.
Polish punks 314 race to the finish with call and response vocals in time for Germany’s Pionier & White Rebel Voice, who show us how a chorus should be sung with a track that has a similar feel to the anthem ‘European Identity’.
Land of the Winds are up next with more glorious Slav vixen vocals followed by the flutes, accordions and fast paced metal of Stozhar.
Clarinets signal the entrance of Wolfkrieg before the guitars kick in for a majestic stomp through the orchestra pit, leaving Sweden’s Walkyrije to finish proceedings with an acoustic ballad.
