Sven Longshanks and Dr Matthew Raphael Johnson discuss the tit-for-tat measures carried out in the trade war between America and the EU.
America is set to put billions of dollars worth of tariffs on the EU next year, in response to government subsidies giving Airbus an unfair advantage over Boeing.
This comes on top of a 25% tariff on steel and a 10% tariff on aluminium, which applies to the EU, Canada and Mexico.
The EU has responded by putting a 25% tax on Harleys, bourbon and denim jeans, as if any of those items are as essential as steel.
The French have pointed out that the only people to benefit from this are the Chinese, who are looking to get into the commercial aviation market.
