Thankfully there were courageous White men around who ignored Sadiq Khan’s advice to run and hide and disarmed the killer instead, before police arrived on the scene and shot him.
Alfred the Great had an invasion to contend with as well, but he didn’t respond to it by outlawing criticism of the invaders.
He led his people to victory and once the enemy had been segregated, he set about doing all he could to improve the lives of his own Saxon kinsmen.
