The big news this week is the U.S. setting yet another new precedent; that of assassinating high ranking officers from other sovereign nations. Apparently, the government itself and more specifically President Trump have bought into this notion of “American exceptionalism” which apparently means the U.S. can do whatever they like but everyone else has to play by a different set of rules because……’Murica!….or something. GPL usually avoids discussing news items due to the time delay before the show airs, however this topic is so big that it has to be discussed and looked at from an angle that only Grandpa Lampshade can bring.
The Christian specific message this week is all about the day of the Lord. To be more specific: what is the day of the Lord like? We are told time and again that the day of the Lord is likened to a thief in the night. This is interesting as the modern cuck church apparently believes that the thief is like Santa Clause; bringing a bag full of goodies to leave at your house. Yet this is not what a thief does. A thief comes and takes what you have, what you have put your faith in and leaves you with nothing. In this week’s sermon, the Reverend Lampshade will discuss why it is that Jesus himself used this illustration of a thief coming. Like all manner of scripture, it is not without reason.
