The congregation at The Church of the Lampshade comes together once again for deep discussion, personal counselling (i.e. GPL’s personal opinion on people’s situations) and a Christian specific message like no other.
As always, the show opens with subjects suggested by the listeners or more specifically financial supporters of the show. From time to time these discussions are difficult topics that other hosts might pass on, but not here. We shall discuss these things together and seek a closer understanding of the truth. After a very thought provoking listener provided intro, GPL gets into the mindset of the average normiecon who seems to think every day is 1776 again. Specifically the fantasy world they’ve created is that America just suddenly as if by magic devolved into the corrupt cesspool that it is today.
In this discussion, we will be making a realistic assessment of the American economy and how it has devolved over the years to what it is today. While real economies are centered around production, whether that be producing goods for people to use or food for people to eat, in America we have a consumer economy. If anyone is literate enough in the future to record history, they will surely find it laughable that a people were ever so foolish as to be convinced they could have an economy based solely on consumption and buying things.
The Christian specific message is what everyone congregates for and confessing one’s sins is discussed and defined this week. While this topic has been touched on before there are always angles that haven’t been covered. The scripture is written for the spiritual and thus, there are limitations as to how words can convey what was intended. To put it another way; one can take a term such as “confessing sins” and find several different yet non conflicting aspects of what this means. While this may sound confusing at first, the Reverend Lampshade will make it all so clear. Scripture reference for this week will be Proverbs 28:13 and 1 John 1:9.
There is no other show on the internet that does what this show does. It took a while for it to become what it today and the listeners are every bit a part of that as the host. This isn’t simply a form of entertainment but it is a congregation, a group that comes together week in and week out to fellowship, think about things and seek the truth at The Church of the Lampshade.
