The long wait is over and once again the congregation is gathered at The Church of the Lampshade! It’s episode #67 and is a full packed show as always! This is a give and take show where the congregation contributes just as the host does and we start off with input from the listener supporter mailbag which seldom disappoints and this week is no exception. A key element of the group think that we see around us in the world is marketing. Marketing is a key element in brainwashing. When it is convincing you to purchase fast food that tastes like crap because the jingle tells you it’s actually good and everyone likes it, it’s relatively harmless. However when it is applied to the narrative it is anything but. GPL will go through some of the obvious forms of marketing that are being wielded against us in order to promote the narrative.
The center piece of the show (as one might guess from the name of the show) is the Christian specific message. Now that the Church has become almost fully subverted, one can observe that the typical Christian has an attitude of passivity. From the evangelical who passively waits for Jesus to show up and do everything for them, to the feel good Christians who believe that the more you passively lie down like a proverbial doormat, the more like Jesus you become. Christians appear to have relegated themselves to the sidelines, yet, in Ephesians 6:10-17 we are instructed to put on the full armor of God. A cook doesn’t wear armor. A merchant doesn’t wear armor. A housewife or a barmaid doesn’t wear armor. Armor is worn by a warrior! While a wise warrior doesn’t simply go pointlessly flailing about on the battlefield, he also doesn’t sit passively by awaiting the commander to win the battle for him.
If you are reading this and have never joined the congregation you may be wondering if it’s worth putting in the time to give it a listen. Don’t worry. This isn’t a six hour show but by the time it’s done you’ll be wishing it was!
