As the chaos across the West continues to spread, you might find yourself seeking a refuge of sanity, a place of order and a sanctuary of truth seeking. Well you have found it right here, at The Church of the Lampshade. As always, the show opens with a recognition of those members of the congregation that have decided to not be shy and pay those tithes. Also, many send notes which fire off the discussion and things will definitely be getting fiery this week!
As we all watch the chaos unfold, President Trump himself has called this anarchy. But is it? When one thinks of anarchy, you tend to picture a state of chaos that springs up on its own and is totally out of control, but this is not what we are seeing. Instead, what we are seeing is a carefully crafted narrative. What we are seeing is theater put on for your consumption.
Armed communists have taken over an entire section of Seattle and declared it to be some sort of “autonomous zone” and apparently, they believe that those in power aren’t stopping them, because they fear them. They are woefully mistaken. They aren’t stopping them because they are simply playing their designated role in the narrative that is being created. If for a moment those who wield the power saw them as a threat, they would be framed as the villains of oppression by the very same media that is now praising them as freedom fighters for equality and they would be dealt with in the harshest manner possible.
While it may not be possible with the limited information we have to fully know where all this is going, or what the intentions of those in power may be, one thing that is fairly easy to observe is the rioting Blacks are being set up as target for when people realise the economy has been strip mined by the big corporations, banks and the ultra wealthy and are looking for who to blame.
While it is natural to be angry and repulsed when you are presented video of people (many of whom are likely plants) screaming and attempting to dehumanize you, it is important that you not lose sight of the big picture. Do not allow yourself to be misdirected.
In the sermon this week, the Reverend Lampshade will discuss the notion of whether or not it is your job (as is no doubt being currently preached in many churches across the nation) to forgive the people who are slandering you, dehumanizing you and calling for your destruction, as well as the destruction of all that your ancestors have built. The short answer is no. For the long answer, you will have to tune in.
You may have never listened to a show such as this before. Perhaps you are telling yourself that you just don’t have time to sit around and listen to The Church of the Lampshade. However if you do, by the time the show is over you will be wondering how it’s ending so soon. You will want more and there will indeed be more but for that, you will have to tune in next week.
