When topics such as #Pizzagate come up, people often have a hard time accepting that it might be true, they often seem unable to comprehend that certain people might be drawn to abuse children in a horrific manner. Even though the media keeps claiming this has all been debunked it has not. We have yet to be told why those emails contain known and well documented pedophilia code words. As to the question of “Why?”, it’s not necessarily the act itself which gets them off. Instead it’s the exercise of power. To be able to do something that is such an extreme taboo outside of the norms, rules and morality of society and to be able to do it with impunity, this feeling of power is what draws them to such wickedness. Old sayings become old sayings because they hold truth and absolute power corrupts absolutely.

In the Christian specific segment this week, the topic of power continues. Specifically; what power do you have? As a Christian believer the answer is “More than you think!”. Yes, those who serve Satan wield a great amount of power in this temporal realm, but you are not left powerless in the face of this. It is not surprising that the unbeliever is left flailing about, frustrated and at times driven mad because he has no way to counter those who wield power in this world. However for the believer, we know that we can circumvent the things put in front of us and strike at the very source of this power; Satan himself.
