Edward Colston’s Girl School is being renamed, to hide the fact he was such an immensely charitable and virtuous fellow that schools were still being built with the money he left 150 years after his death.
A monument to the hero of Waterloo who gave his life defending his country is also at risk of being torn down, on instructions from a group calling themselves ‘All Monuments Must Fall’.
