The Wall Street Journal has highlighted human rights abuses in China where 25 people a year are being sent to prison for being critical of government policy on social media.
The criticism ranges from scrutinizing the country’s Covid reaction, to ‘picking quarrels and provoking trouble’ a catchall phrase that sounds rather similar to ‘incitement to hate’.
