Orthodoxy and ethnonationalism comprise a single organism. They're both based on unity. At a minimum, this is a common language and a singular faith.
St. Filaret (Drozdov) teaches that the monarch rules the ethno-nation in the same sense that the father rules over the family. The ethno-nation, faith and common culture are assumed, since one cannot talk of a “people,” “society” or “unity” without them.
Orthodoxy is inherently ethnic because all social life is equally so. Without language, no social life can be conceived. How could the faith even exist outside of a common language and legal tradition?
Denying the ethno-nation is tantamount to heresy. Without the nation and crown, oligarchy alone exists.
