The opening discussion is brought to us via the contributor’s mailbag where once again we are faced with the generation gap. For the young bucks the boomers are entitled and have squandered the future on their own selfish pursuits while for the old goats, the young are lazy, entitled and don’t want to work, but still expect everything handed them.

We see this conflict playing out on an almost daily basis and too often it descends into name calling and emotionalism. This week we are going to seek the unvarnished truth and see if that helps in bridging this gap.

In our sermon, we are reminded that God is not going to give us the answers. While we may pray the Lord will guide us to them, ultimately if falls on us to find them and most of the time, it is the journey that turns out to be more important than the answers themselves.
