Sven Longshanks and Max Musson discuss the Duke’s funeral and eighties race riots, before continuing the appraisal of David Livingstone.
The BBC did very well with their filming of the Duke’s funeral, which provided a patriotic link to the country’s past, but they appear to be gaslighting the Black community into repeating the Brixton riots with their recent lionising of them.
Livingstone saw new trade routes as being the solution to Africa’s addiction to selling its people as slaves.
He mapped the Zambezi river and was the first to discover Victoria Falls, opening up an entire new world of botany along the way.
After that he searched for the source of the Nile, famously losing touch with the outside world for six years when his guides deserted him and claimed that he had died.
