Sven Longshanks and Dennis Wise discuss the history of Saint George, the patron saint of England.
Today is St George’s Day and while most know he is the patron saint of England, they may not know why that is.
St George was good friends with Constantine the Great, who was also a British King.
When Constantine became Emperor, he made Christianity the religion of the empire and he honoured the memory of his friend by making his attributes the example for Christendom to follow.
Presented by Sven Longshanks and Dennis Wise
