Sven Longshanks looks at the concept of ‘decolonization’ and attempts to apply it to Sir Isaac Newton.
Decolonizing the curriculum means ignoring the achievements of great people from the past if they lived during the colonial era, which also used slavery as a part of the global economy.
Sir Isaac Newton is the latest to be targeted for removal.
But if it wasn’t for colonisation in Africa, which provided the chance for Africans to diversify their economy away from slavery, the trade would still exist.
