Sven Longshanks and Max Musson talk about the week’s news and Rudyard Kipling during the war.
A Black teenager has been arrested and charged with conspiracy to murder over the shooting of Sasha Johnson.
She may have been promoting ideas we disagree with, but she was an effective advocate for her people and she certainly helped highlight the differences between Whites and Blacks.
Kipling wrote propaganda for Britain during the war and he fell for the lies told about the Germans.
Being very patriotic, he encouraged his son to enlist, only for him to die shortly after.
Kipling would then famously write ‘If any question why we died, tell them, because our fathers lied’.
