Ancient historians claimed the traders were Phoenician, but Phoenicia was in the hands of the tribe of Asher at the time.
This is why there are no traces of the Phoenicians in Cornwall, but there are plenty of traces of ancient Israelites being there.
There is also the legend of Joseph of Arimathea being involved and tin in the near east has now been proved to have come from Cornwall.
