Sven Longshanks continues looking at the folklore surrounding Joseph of Arimathea in South West Britain.
It is plausible that Joseph of Arimathea came to Britain and was involved with the tin trade as there are too many references for it to be a fantasy.
Joseph also supposedly planted the Glastonbury thorn which used to flower on Christmas day, but his connection to the Holy Grail was not mentioned until the 12th century after knights came back with the tale from the Holy Land.
Detailed research on Glastonbury and Joseph of Arimathea can be found in this Radio Albion seven part series HERE
