Sven Longshanks and Max Musson remember the fallen and begin a presentation on Scott’s Terra Nova expedition.

Thirty five million of the finest Europeans died in the second world war, causing not just dysgenic physical effects but mental ones too if we look at the direction the country has gone in since then.

We lost our empire and now through the EU’s intransigence we appear to be losing Northern Ireland too.

Explorers used to have an unwritten rule not to go where someone else had already staked their claim, but Shackleton thought that Scott was not going out there again, so he broke this rule.

This upset Scott, but for the cause of beating the foreigners to get to the South Pole first, they came to an agreement.
