Sven Longshanks and Dr Matthew Raphael Johnson look at the assassination of Qassem Soleimani two years on.
The extra-judicial killing of Soleimani when he was on a diplomatic mission at the request of President Trump, was supposed to act as a deterrent to Iran.
But the response was a targeted attack on a US Base in Iraq with forewarning, that showed any US facility in the Gulf could be hit.
Iran now has overmatch ability, meaning it can fire more missiles than its opponents can shoot down or destroy.
