Dr Matthew Raphael Johnson deals with the origin of the Postmodernist critique of the scientific method.
It deals with the consequences of the idea that words aren't connected to any object. Words are free-floating ideas generated by an alien, coercive center.
Postmodern writers can be entertaining and even useful, but because they are also elite academics, they cannot express the consequences of their theory. They'll attack liberal globalization, but then reassure their colleagues that the “Christian Right” is evil, despite saying the same things.
The Postmodern condition is one where reality is rejected in favor of images and words generated by the capitalist center.
