Sven Longshanks and Max Musson discuss Partygate, the UK in Ukraine and Lord Leverhulme in the Congo.
All the media want to talk about is Boris Johnson being investigated for breaking Covid rules, which is rather like him getting caught parking in the wrong place.
Far more important to the British public is his party’s record on immigration.
Also in the news is Britain’s support for Ukraine, arming, providing training and goading Russia through them, which has alarming similarities to our actions in Poland that led to the second world war.
Lord Leverhulme took the newspapers to court for smearing him and destroying his soap trust and after just one day of hearing his testimony, the defence capitulated and Leverhulme donated all the compensation to Liverpool University.
He then transported his paternalistic capitalism idea to the Congo and built a replica of Port Sunlight, but the Congolese did not understand the benefits of what he had done for them and showed no interest in working for him.
