Sven Longshanks draws parallels between the outbreak of World War Two and the situation today in Ukraine.
As soon as the American observers were gone, Ukraine resumed shelling the Donbass.
Sixty thousand ethnic Russians crossed the border seeking refuge and clearly the Russian troops on that border were not enough to prevent Ukraine’s aggression.
Russia then recognised Donetsk and Luhansk independence and accepted their invitation to come in as peacekeepers.
This bears more than a little similarity to Austria asking to be reunified with Germany and that being portrayed as an invasion by the world’s press too.
