Do you know what it's about this week? Well I'll tell you what it's about, it's about accelerated deterioration as we once again sit down for the week's instalment of Grandpa Lampshade's Thoughts of the Day.
If you look at the state of our societies today, it's undeniable that our nations are deteriorating in an ever more accelerated fashion. Societal breakdown is real and it is happening right before our very eyes. Yet, so many people remain in denial and want to believe that things are going to somehow go back to the way they were. They will not. The people have two diametrically opposed views as to where we should be going as a nation and thus, some sort of compromise is not going to be possible. The only two options that leaves us is a peaceful separation and parting of ways, or for one side to force the other to submit and go along the path that they believe to be the correct one. Needless to say I support the former option but am quite sure that human nature being what it is we will more than likely wind up with the later outcome.
In our Church of the Lampshade segment this week, we'll be rocking it old school as we go back to the book of Jeremiah and the prophecy against the nation at that time. God warned the people time and again that he was going to crush them under the heel of the king of Babylon. Yet the people thought this wasn't actually possible, after all, as wicked as their own nation had become at least they weren't as bad as the Babylonians. Why would God hand them over to a people who didn't even acknowledge him? Yet the nation never stopped to consider that perhaps they were more guilty in the sight of God, because while they acknowledged him, they were in open rebellion against him while the Babylonians didn't acknowledge God at all.
We have a jam packed show as always this week folks. We've got loads of topics to discuss and hopefully a ton of interesting information to consider. We will look at these ideas and consider the ramifications of our thoughts from different angles and as always you the listener are encouraged to continue thinking about them after the show is over. After all, that's sort of what we do here at Grandpa Lampshade's Thoughts of the Day.
