Instalment #24 of The Church of the Lampshade is finally here! That’s right, the wait is over and it’s time to get cozy and settle in for this week’s sermon and discussion, the likes of which you just will not find anywhere else.
We open by expanding on our previous discussions on assimilation via a listener question/comment as to the great obstacles that stand before our people. After that we will move on to the topic of taking back your power. At the end of the day, you have power over only one person on earth and that is you. The Jews hold what power they hold, but whether or not you give them that power over you, is your choice to make. This isn’t about giving the Jews a pass, it’s about not being helpless and taking back power over your own life!
For our sermon this week, we will be referencing the book of Luke chapter 12:42-53. As is so often the case, in this short number of verses we will find a wealth of spiritual information. We know that the Lord expects you to be doing the work he has given you upon His return. Yet, what is that work? What are you supposed to be doing? If you haven’t figured that out yet, you will be given a great starting point today!
We will also be discussing Jesus’ statement about not bringing peace, but division. I’ve seen many non-believers point to this as some sort of declaration that Jesus wants you to basically hate your own family or something. This is stupid, of course. Jesus isn’t instructing you to go out of your way to have division in your household, he’s warning you of what to expect. You can be a complete non-believer and yet witness this very truth and we will discuss how.
As always, it is my hope and prayer that this show and these discussions will serve simply as a jumping off point for you to further your journey to the truth. Whether it is our pre sermon discussion or the sermons themselves, our goal is always the truth and the world hates the truth, this never changes. Yet praise to God, He is our strength. We will stand in truth and we will continue on in the work that God has given us to do. You, as believers are the Church of God and He has told us that the gates of hell shall not prevail against you. Claim your strength and stand in the truth.
